Heinz Mack. Correspondences

For over 60 years, Heinz Mack has been working with enormous energy as a painter, illustrator, and sculptor, as a utopian and visionary, armed with a razor-sharp mind and in constant pursuit of clarity and beauty. The result is a magnificent and multifaceted oeuvre, the beginning of which is marked by the ZERO group, which is also one of the most fascinating international artist movements of the postwar period.

To mark his 85th birthday in 2016, Beck & Eggeling International Fine Art dedicated an exhibition to him in Düsseldorf and Vienna. In the exhibition showing both works from the ZERO period and current, contemporary works, it became impressively clear how the creations from the different creative periods relate to each other and how formal and substantive correspondences arise as a result.

The book published in occasion of the exhibition documents these correspondences and is another highlight in the series of books about Heinz Mack and the ZERO period from the Beck & Eggeling Kunstverlag.
